Coral has been worn in Nigeria for centuries, most visibly by Edo royalty in Benin, where it marks rank as much as it adorns. Each strand is cut and polished by hand, so no two match exactly, and the colour runs anywhere from pale salmon to deep oxblood depending on the piece.

We have nothing in Coral in the shop today. New pieces land in small runs, and this is the cloth we are asked for most.
