Terms and Conditions

These terms govern everything you buy from DidiCollective. Placing an order means you accept them. They do not affect your statutory rights.

Who we are

DidiCollective is a sole trader business selling ready-made Nigerian garments and jewellery. You can reach us at [email protected] and a person will answer.

To confirm: the proprietor’s name and a service address. DidiCollective trades as a sole trader, so there is no company number, but a sole trader using a business name must disclose the individual’s name and an address where documents can be served, on the website and on business documents. The address must not be the owner’s home: a virtual office or service address (around £30–60 a year, usually with mail forwarding) satisfies the requirement without publishing where the owner lives. Add both here, on Contact, and in WooCommerce → Settings → General.

Products

We describe and photograph every piece as accurately as we can. Our garments are made by hand from cloth that is itself made by hand, so variation in dye depth, pattern placement and weave between one piece and the next is inherent to the craft and is not a fault. Screens render colour differently, so a shade may not match your display exactly. If a difference would matter to you, ask us before you buy.

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. The email you get at checkout confirms we received it; it is not acceptance. A contract is formed when we email to say your order has been dispatched. If we cannot fulfil it, because a piece has sold out or was priced in error, we will tell you and refund you in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include any UK tax due. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay. We accept cards through Stripe, and PayPal. Payment is taken when you order. If a price is obviously wrong and you could reasonably have realised it, we are not obliged to sell at that price.

Delivery

Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Goods become your responsibility once delivered to the address you gave us, and remain ours until paid for in full.

Orders outside the UK may attract import VAT and customs duty on arrival, charged by the courier before delivery. These are set by the destination country, are not included in our prices, and are the responsibility of whoever receives the order. We cannot predict or refund them. If a parcel is refused and returned because those charges went unpaid, we refund the goods less the delivery and return costs we incur.

Returns and refunds

You have a statutory right to cancel: 14 days from delivery to tell us, then 14 more to send the goods back, for a full refund including the standard delivery you paid. We extend that window to 30 days. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose; if they are not you have 30 days to reject them for a full refund. Return postage is at your own cost unless the item is faulty. Full detail, including the few exemptions, is in our Refund and Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Using this website

Please do not use this site unlawfully, attempt to disrupt it, or extract its content for commercial use. The text, photographs, designs and name here belong to us or are used with permission. You are welcome to share links. We may withdraw access to anyone misusing the site.

Links to other sites

Where we link elsewhere, we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

Your privacy

What we collect and why is set out in our Privacy Policy. Card details are handled by Stripe and PayPal and never reach our server.

Our liability

We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit, including your statutory rights over goods that are faulty or not as described. Subject to that, we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable consequence of our breaking these terms, and not for loss that is not.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts. We may change these terms; the version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
