Shipping & Returns

Where we ship

We ship to the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Canada, and within Nigeria. Everything is sent from the UK unless a piece says otherwise.

UK delivery is free on orders over £150.

Costs and delivery times

UK orders go with Royal Mail or InPost. InPost delivers to a locker or a local shop you collect from, which is worth choosing if you are out during the day. Royal Mail delivers to your door.

Everything outside the UK goes with Royal Mail international, handed to the destination country’s own postal service on arrival: USPS in the United States, Canada Post in Canada, and the national carrier elsewhere.

  • United Kingdom: InPost locker collection £4.95, or Royal Mail Tracked 48 to your door £5.95. Free over £150.
  • Europe: Royal Mail International Tracked £16.50. Free over £300.
  • United States and Canada: Royal Mail International Tracked £31.00. Free over £400.
  • Nigeria: Royal Mail International Tracked £31.00.

Prices are for parcels up to 1kg, which covers almost everything we send. If a piece is heavier we will tell you before we take payment rather than after.

How long it takes. These are the carriers’ own delivery aims, not guarantees. Anything leaving the UK can be held at the border, and we cannot hurry customs.

  • InPost locker: 2 to 3 working days. The day you order is not counted, and lockers are emptied Monday to Saturday.
  • Royal Mail Tracked 48: 2 to 3 working days, Monday to Saturday.
  • Europe: 3 to 4 working days.
  • United States and Canada: 5 to 7 working days. US customs regularly adds to this, and we would rather say so than promise a date we cannot keep.
  • Nigeria: Royal Mail aims for 5 to 7 working days. Clearance into Nigeria often takes longer.

We pack and post within two working days of your order, and email you the tracking number the moment it leaves us.

Customs and duties

Orders travelling outside the UK may attract import duty or tax on arrival. That is charged by the destination country, not by us, and it is not included in the price you pay at checkout. Customers in the United States, the EU and Canada should expect it.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to tell us you are cancelling and 14 more to send the goods back, for a full refund including the standard delivery you paid. That is your statutory right and it applies whatever the reason.

We extend that to 30 days. Pieces need to come back unworn, unwashed and with any tags still attached. Write to us first and we will tell you where to send it. If a piece is faulty, the return is at our cost.

The full detail, including the few things that cannot be returned, is in our Refund and Returns Policy.

You pay return postage. We do not offer free returns, from any country. If a piece is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, the return is at our cost instead, so write to us before you send it.

Faults

Hand-dyed and handwoven cloth varies. Slubs in the weave, small irregularities in a resist pattern and slight differences between one length and the next are how the cloth is made, and are not faults. Anything genuinely wrong with a piece, tell us and we will put it right.
